Talbot brings the information together and uncovers that there is an ancient curse which turns individuals into werewolves every time the moon is full. He sees the chance of him ending the slaughter and protecting the girl he has fallen in love with.

The production for the remake of The Wolfman began in March 2006. From the beginning, Del Toro was cast to be the Wolfman. He is a collector of The Wolfman souvenirs and is a fan of the original film. Screenwriter Andrew Kevin hiker was originally attached to the project but he was fundamentally replaced by David Self, who was hired by Johnston after besting other director hopefuls like Frank Darabont and James Mangold. Mark Romanek was the 1st director attached to helm The Wolfman but he left the project due to creative differences.

Shooting happened in Britain from Mar 3rd to June 3, 2008. The film had an $85 million US budget. Make up master Rick Baker was the man behind the make up for The Wolfman. The minute Baker found out that Universal had the rights to remake the film, he volunteered his services. He asserts that Frankenstein and The Wolf Man galvanized him to become a make up artist as a child.
